Aiming to make travel easier
The robot bus experiment was carried out in Lahti in autumn 2023 in cooperation between the local public transport operator Lahden Seudun Liikenne (LSL) and Remoted. The aim of the project was to improve the accessibility of the area and diversify mobility, especially for senior citizens living at the Wanha Herra Wellbeing Centre. The robot bus supported the senior citizens’ access to the city hospital, shops and services.
More than 500 passengers per month
The robot bus had a safety driver who also assisted the customers. The service was well received and there were enough passengers for every journey. The service was used by more than 500 passengers per month.
